What is the Dove Pink Star Walk?
The Dove Pink Star Walk is a walk for men, women and children of all ages and fitness levels through the Sydney CBD at night in support of the NBCF.
The event will take place on Saturday 25th October 2008 from 8pm.

How much did Dove raise for the NBCF last year?
Last year Dove donated $150,000 to the NBCF through various Dove Pink activities and this year we aim to donate even more so help us by purchasing the pink range of Dove beauty products, register for the Dove Pink Star Walk or donate directly via this site.

How long is the Dove Pink Star Walk?
The Dove Pink Star Walk will be a fun and unique 5km stroll through the Sydney CBD at night, starting in the Royal Botanic Gardens and winding round a beautiful scenic route past the Sydney Opera House, through Circular Quay and finishing at Darling Harbour.

What time does the Dove Pink Star Walk start and finish?
The Dove Pink Star Walk commences at 8.15pm and you should complete the route by 10pm at the latest. We suggest you arrive before this time in order to prepare yourself for the walk and join in on pre-event festivities. The walk is a leisurely stroll and there will be no rush in completing the event - the route will be manned and lit until the last participant has finished. The route starts in the Parade Ground, within the Royal Botanic Gardens and finishes at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour. There will also be St Johns first aid personnel to assist walkers along the route.

What do I wear on the Dove Pink Star Walk?
All participants are encouraged to get their bras under the stars for the breast cancer cause through decorating a pink bra and wearing it on the evening (or on top of clothing is okay too!). Suggestions on how you can decorate your bra are included in your event registration pack. As well as the decorated bra, participants are encouraged to get into the Dove Pink theme and wear pink clothing and accessories. There will be prizes awarded on the night for the best decorated bras and costumes and for those adopting the pink spirit. We also recommend you wear comfortable shoes that are suitable for walking the 5km distance.

Am I allowed to take food and drink on the walk?
Yes, but we do advise that food and wrappers are kept to a minimum to control rubbish. Mt Franklin Water will also be provided on the night along the route and will be available free of charge for every participant.
There will also be a number of food stalls available in the start area.

How do I enter into the Dove Pink Star Walk and how much does it cost?
To enter all you have to do is visit the registration page by clicking
here to fill in the online entry form and then pay the registration fee, which starts at $19.50 per person (different fees apply for adults, children, concessions etc.) Once registered, you will receive an event pack containing all the information that you will need for the event, as well as your race identification number, course map, and of course tips on how to decorate your bra!
