06.10.07 SATURDAY SYDNEY

Paint the town pink with Dove!

On the evening of October 6th 2007, over 5,000 Sydneysiders dressed up in pink and hit the Sydney Harbour Foreshore for the second annual Dove Pink Star Walk. The 5km starlit stroll was held to raise awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

A wonderful night was had by all, and some big names were there to lend a helping hand along the way as well. Sandra Sully co-hosted the festivities, while Sammy and Subi from Mix 106.5 broadcast the event live. Plus, Bianca Dye, Sven the Swedish Masseur and some of the NSW Waratahs proudly led the pink pack along the pinked-up path.

Some other exciting characters were also present at the Walk and helped to keep everyone energised and entertained, including Fifi the eight foot pink poodle, a few giant bouncing kangaroos and a host of voluptuous dancing pigs.

And just like last year the Style Police had their work cut out for them, awarding prizes for the most outlandish outfits and best decorated bras. The fun also continued after the finish line and well into the evening, with foot massages, refreshments and goody bags for all participants.

We would like to thank all participants for making the 2007 Dove Pink Star Walk such a huge success in raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a fun night and we couldn't have done it without your support.
